RMErecruit is a business trading name used by Sinead Walsh. The business’ registered office is at 558
Upper Newtownards Road, BT4 3HE.
RMErecruit is primarily a recruitment company specialising in identifying candidates with expertise in the
Finance, Accountancy, and Business Services sectors and introducing those candidates to suitable
businesses. Further information about our business is set out below.
At RMErecruit, we are committed to ensuring we protect the confidential data of our clients (Employers)
and Candidates. We take all necessary steps to ensure that your data is used and processed only in
accordance with this policy and as authorised by you from time to time.
This policy together with the terms & conditions of use, posted on our business website, record the
manner in which RMErecruit collects, uses and stores personal or confidential data about you. This
policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
Pursuant to the GDPR, we are required to inform you who the data controller is and in certain instances
to elect a Data Protection Officer.

What does RMErecruit do?

RMErecruit collates data from a wide range of sources in order to operate our business functions. In
particular, RMErecruit accesses, utilises and retains data which relates to:
- Prospective Candidates, Candidates registered on a database, Candidates Referred by others
and Candidates who have been successfully placed into employed positions.
- New, Existing or Proposed clients.
- Providers of third-party services to the business.
- Employees and any other party engaged under a contract of service with the company.

What information do we hold about you?

We hold information about you to enable us to fulfil our obligations to you and to meet the needs of our
business. This includes information provided by you and information we may obtain from third party
publicly accessible platforms. We may hold the following categories of information:
- Personal Information: Data you provide when registering, including date of birth, contact details,
nationality, tax details, regulatory history, and VISA/immigration status.
- Employment History: Information including but not limited to your work history, education,
references, and other details necessary when applying for a position.
- Referral Data: Personal data such as name and email address when you refer applicants or
businesses to us.
- Financial Details: Current employment details, financial targets, current salary/benefits, and
reasons for seeking a new position.
- Business/Client Data: Requirements, business vision, annual turnover, bonus structures, and
organisational charts necessary for candidates to understand your organisation.
- Communication Records: Information given during the currency of communications both in
writing and orally.

Third Party Data

Third party data is information which RMErecruit may have collected about you from open sources which
include but are not limited to: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Job Boards, Industry Specific
Websites, CV databases, other candidates, and Corporate Websites.

Use of Personal Data

RMErecruit respects the confidentiality of all our clients’ data and will only use it in accordance with
relevant laws. We take all practical steps to maintain high standards of data security to prevent
accidental loss, unauthorised disclosure, or access.


We will use your data subject to the following rights:
1. Consent: To send marketing about our recruitment service.
2. Contract: To perform duties pursuant to a contract we have with you.
3. Legitimate Interests: Where processing is necessary for our business interests.


RMErecruit will use your data to:
- Verify your identity and check the accuracy of provided information.
- Assess your suitability for potential roles in Finance, Accountancy, and Business Services.
- Introduce candidates to potential employers and market our services.
- Manage contractual relationships and payments.
- Maintain records of dealings, including interview feedback and compliance with laws.


Disclosure of Personal Data
RMErecruit may disclose your personal data to:
- Associated Companies or Affiliate businesses of RMErecruit.
- Professional advisers as required.
- Courts, Government Agencies, or Law Enforcement where legally obliged.

Transfer of Data outside of the EEA

If your personal data is transferred to a third party outside of the EEA, RMErecruit will take all reasonable
steps to ensure adequate protective measures are in place to the equivalent standard as if it was in the
EEA.


Retaining your Data
It is the Company policy not to retain your data for more than 6 years from the date in which we have last
had contact with you, unless there is a legal or contractual obligation to do so.

Your Rights

Pursuant to the GDPR, you are entitled at any time to:
- Request rectification or deletion/erasure of your data (subject to legal obligations).
- Request that RMErecruit restricts or objects to the processing of your data.
- Request access to or copies of the personal data we hold.
- Withdraw your consent to processing by contacting sinead@rmerecruit.com.
- Request that your data be transferred to an alternative data handler.

 

Should you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please make a request in writing to Sinead Walsh.
You also have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) regarding our use of
your data.
